This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Badge-O-Matic 9000 application (the “Application” or “Service”). It also explains Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.
By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Interpretation and Definitions
Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Privacy Policy) refers to Thing27, LLC, 55 Purple Mist Ln, Zebulon, NC 27597. Application refers to Badge-O-Matic 9000, the software program provided by the Company. Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a cellphone or digital tablet. Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. You means the individual accessing or using the Service.
Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data While using Our Application, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information to facilitate the core functionality of the Service. This includes:
- First name and last name
- Employee ID (optional)
Information Collected while Using the Application In order to provide the core features of Our Application, We require access to your Device’s hardware:
- Camera Access: With Your prior permission, We collect pictures from your Device’s camera.
How We Use Your Personal Data
The Company uses the collected Personal Data strictly for the following purpose:
- To provide Our Service: We use your name, employee ID, and photograph to automatically format and draft a corporate ID badge request. This data is compiled into a payload that is routed to your configured destination (either your native email client or your designated ServiceDesk Plus API endpoint).
We do not use your data for marketing, analytics, or user tracking.
Camera and Photo Data (Face Data)
Badge-O-Matic 9000 requires access to your device’s camera to capture an employee portrait photograph for ID badge provisioning.
We do not collect, process, track, or store biometric face data, facial landmarks, or TrueDepth information. The photograph you take is not saved to your device’s camera roll or the application’s local storage. It is held entirely in temporary volatile memory (RAM) only for the duration of the active app session.
Once you dispatch the request (via your native email client or configured API endpoint) or clear the form, the photo data is instantly and permanently deleted from the application. We do not upload this photograph to the Company’s servers, nor do we share it with any third-party analytics, affiliates, or data brokers.
Retention and Storage of Your Personal Data
The Company does not retain or store Your Personal Data.
Because Badge-O-Matic 9000 acts solely as a localized formatting tool, any text or photographic data entered into the Application is held locally in volatile memory and is permanently destroyed the moment the app is closed, the form is reset, or the data payload is dispatched.
Please note that once the data is dispatched from the Application (e.g., sent as an email via the iOS Mail app or submitted to your corporate ServiceDesk Plus endpoint), the retention and security of that data are governed by the privacy policies of your email provider, your employer, or ManageEngine/Zoho, respectively.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Law enforcement Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency). However, because the Company does not store or retain user data on its servers, we do not have historical user records or photographs to disclose.
Security of Your Personal Data
The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. We process your information locally on your Device to ensure it is not unnecessarily transmitted to our own servers. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect Your Personal Data during its brief local processing, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 16 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information.
Links to Other Websites
Our Service interacts with third-party services (such as ServiceDesk Plus APIs and Apple Mail) that are not operated by Us. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site or service you configure the Application to interact with. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
